REIKI

Reiki is a Japanese energy healing technique that promotes relaxation, reduces stress and anxiety, and promotes healing through gentle touch.

What Is Reiki?

Mikao Usui developed reiki in the early 1900s, deriving the term from the Japanese words rei, meaning “universal” and "God" and ki, which refers to the vital life force energy that flows through all living things. Therefore Reiki is spiritually guided life force energy.

Reiki is a non-invasive, gentle, and soothing technique that is appropriate for people of all ages and all health conditions. Reiki is commonly used now in hospitals, hospice, and complements

other forms of health treatments.

Reiki helps bring energy and flow into blockages in your physical and emotional bodies. Real healing can occur when a person is ready and willing to receive the energies.

What's Happening In A Session

Before the session begins we check in to see how you are feeling and talk about areas to focus on during the session. You remain clothed and lie on your back on my massage table. I have soft lighting and gentle music playing in the background. I use my hands on or slightly above your body to deliver energy into your body, improving the flow and balance of your energy to support healing.

A Reiki session feels like a wonderful radiance and ease flows through you and all around you. Your whole body is able to relax and your stress melts away. As physical or emotional blockages release, you might have waves of emotions or sensations. It's best just to relax, breathe, and let go.

Reiki is not a religious or spiritual belief and is simply the act of connecting to the abundant life force energy and channeling it to you in the moment to promote healing and ease in every area of your life.
